Problem:

A Customer Required a Real-Rime Hybrid Hardware-In-the-Loop System Controller. The System Must Support Full HIL Configurations With Physical EGI Capabilty, Reduced HIL With Simulated EGI Navigation Simulation and Flight Test Modes.

HIL Requirements:
  • Provide Multiple Methods of Real-Rime Trajectory Generation: 6-DOF, Ethernet, File(Precise 3-DOF, 6-DOF High Rate, End-User Methods)
  • 200Hz Trajectory Updates to RF generators. 600Hz Updates to IMU Injection
  • F15 / F16 / C130 EGI Control / Interfaces and Data Translation
  • Scenario Generation, Scripting, Plots, Logs Displays, Data Reduction
  • Visualization / Situational Awareness
  • Navigaton Data Manager / Server: Various Platfrom Navigator Formats over MIL-STD-1553, RS422, Ethernet
  • Precise Time Synchronization for 6-DOF / RF Generator(s) Updates, Synchronous I/O, Time Stamping of All Data
  • Trajectory Models: Land, Sea, Airborne, Space in Various Navigation Frames: ECI, ECEF, WGS...
  • Link-16 Message Simulation
  • Compensation for Hardware Update Rates
  • PC Based
  • Solution:

Synergy of three efforts: (1) SBIR funded Real-Time Network Centric Warfare Evaulation Test System (RTNETS), (2) SBIR Geolocation Simulation Environment Toolset (GEOSET), (3) IDIQ CORE Software Development.

The agressive developmental time-line and broad scope required symbotic development via the three programs. As a result, the CORE concept of common reueable libraries of real-time architecture, I/O methods, communications, devices etc was established. Each USAF customer received the applicable updates and capabilties to their common CORE software.
